65th Ramon Magsaysay Awards ceremony in Manila

At the 65th ceremony in Manila on 11 November, often referred to as the “Nobel Prize of ,” four individuals were recognized for their exemplary leadership and social contributions.

The keynote speech was given by renowned Korean and activist Venerable .

During his keynote speech on Saturday, Ven. Pomnyun , who was honored with the 2002 Ramon Magsaysay Award for and International Understanding for his efforts to lessen the caused by the split of North and South Korea and to promote reconciliation and reunification of the Korean Peninsula, expressed his admiration and congratulations to this year’s four awardees and shared his profound on how everyday people can create a and unified world.
