Digital reading space lunched by the Khyentse Vision Project
The Khyentse Foundation, established by the well-known Bhutanese spiritual leader, filmmaker, and writer Dzongsar Jamyang Khyentse Rinpoche, also known as Khyentse Norbu, has revealed the official launch of a digital reading space for its project called the Khyentse Vision Project, which focuses on translating Buddhist teachings.
The Khyentse Vision Project, which started in the beginning of 2021, aims to translate all the writings of the respected terton Jamyang Khyentse Wangpo, also known as the Great First Khyentse and the founder of the Rimé movement, into English.
The project’s goal is to make these translations available online for free.
The reading room, created by the project’s technology, translation, and editorial teams, is the result of years of work.
It contains translated works covering a wide range of subjects, which can be explored by genre, volume, or through a detailed catalog of the collections.
The genre page includes topics such as sadhanas, prayers and praises, songs, instructions, philosophy, history and biography, arts and sciences, and rituals.
The volume page organizes the texts according to their arrangement in the Kabum and Kabab Dun.
The catalog provides in-depth information about each work in the collections, including its English and Tibetan titles, author, and location, along with a link to the Tibetan pecha page.
