The Buddha-Dharma Centre of Hong Kong joined forces with Dongguk University to host their inaugural international conference from 23–24 June.
This two-day conference, held on Friday and Saturday, was perfectly timed, with each speaker given 30 minutes to present their ideas in an efficient and succinct manner.
The narrative of Buddhism in its native continent has been documented throughout various eras, from medieval diffusion to present-day issues such as the waning of Buddhism in South Korea.
The conference also led to the formation of the Asian Association for Buddhist Studies, under the direction of Prof. Ven. K. L. Dhammajoti and Prof. Soonil Hwang.
