The Swedish Parliamentary Delegation visits Dharamshala
The Swedish Parliamentary Delegation, headed by Margareta Elisabeth Cederfelt, held a press conference in Dharamshala today to demonstrate their backing of the Tibetan people on the 63rd anniversary of Tibetan Democracy Day.
Karma Choeying, Secretary of the Department of Information and International Relations, expressed his appreciation to the visiting delegation for coming to the press conference, noting that it would provide assurance to Tibetans that they have not been forgotten by the world.
MP Margareta Elisabeth Cederfelt reported that her group of eleven legislators were from four different political parties.
She also mentioned her positive encounter with His Holiness the Dalai Lama and highlighted the significance of his message of peace.
