About Geshe Lobsang Yonten

Geshe Lobsang Yonten, born in northern India's Zanskar region, became a monk at ten, studying for five years locally. He pursued a twenty-six-year program at Drepung Gomang Monastery, earning the highest monastic degree, Lharampa Geshe. Examined by His Holiness the Dalai Lama, he studied English, Western philosophy, and science, being part of a select group for interdisciplinary engagement. Appointed by the Dalai Lama as the Tibetan Buddhist Centre Resident Teacher, Geshe Yonten imparts his wisdom globally.
