About Kelsang Lhamo

Kelsang Lhamo, Senior Librarian at the Buddhist Digital Resource Center (BDRC), was born in 1973 in Lhokha, near Lhasa, Tibet. After receiving teachings from notable masters, she pursued further studies in India, where she received novice vows from the 14th Dalai Lama and studied Geluk teachings extensively. Moving to the USA in 1999, she taught Tibetan and Buddhist philosophy and translated texts. Joining BDRC in 2003, she continues her work in Tibetan literature. Kelsang is a prolific writer and translator, contributing to various publications and translating significant texts such as Sogyal Rinpoche's "The Tibetan Book of Living and Dying."
