About Mahakaruna Foundation

The Mahakaruna Foundation is a global Buddhist service organization that was founded in 1982 by Chagdud Tulku Rinpoche. 

Its main goal is to provide support and aid to the elderly, sick, malnourished, and underprivileged communities in Buddhist regions of Asia. 

Additionally, the foundation aims to safeguard and promote the rich Buddhist heritage and culture of Tibet. 

The term "mahakaruna" in Sanskrit translates to "great compassion," which reflects the foundation's mission of showing kindness and empathy towards those in need.
