The Tibetan Nuns Project has established and is providing full support for the Shugsep Nunnery and Institute in northern India, which now houses roughly 100 Tibetan Buddhist nuns.
For many years, the nuns have desired a route to perform kora, a traditional Tibetan form of walking meditation.
Kora is the practice of circumambulating a holy area or object, such as a temple, which is believed to generate religious merit and cultivate bodhicitta, the enlightened mind.
In 2023, the nuns appealed for assistance to construct a kora path. Thanks to the donations of 65 Tibetan Nuns Project benefactors, the pathway is now complete.
