Commemorating the life of Daisaku Ikeda with the Soka Gakkai

The , a Japanese organization, commemorated the life of , a renowned Buddhist philosopher, educator, author, and activist, with a memorial service at the Toda Memorial Auditorium in Tokyo on 23 November.

Ikeda had passed away at his home on 15 November at the age of 95.

Daisaku Ikeda, the third president of the Soka Gakkai Buddhist organization from 1960 to 1979, and founder of the (SGI), was a key figure in the dissemination of worldwide through the Soka Gakkai. He was also a major proponent of the socially engaged Buddhist movement.
