About Daisaku Ikeda

Daisaku Ikeda was a Japanese Buddhist philosopher, educator, author, and nuclear disarmament advocate. 

He was the leader of the Soka Gakkai, one of Japan's new religious movements, and the founding president of the Soka Gakkai International (SGI), the world's largest Buddhist lay organization, which has approximately 12 million members in 192 countries and territories, with more than 1.5 million residing outside of Japan.
