Prajña Series on Buddhist and Sanskrit Studies in Hong Kong
The Indian consulate in Hong Kong has initiated a seminar series called “Prajña,” which focuses on Sanskrit and Buddhist studies and literature.
This three-part series aims to honor the concept of transcendent insight that is common to both Buddhism and Hinduism.
The seminars, which started this month, will run until March and shed light on the spiritual heritage of India.
The consulate announced that the event, called Prajña, aims to promote wisdom and deepen dialogue with religious communities in Hong Kong.
The inaugural lecture was given by Dr. Patricia Sauthoff, who discussed healing and tantra in Sanskrit literature, emphasizing the historical use of mercury in Ayurvedic treatments and the interconnectedness between Buddhism and Hinduism.
