The 50th anniversary of the International Mahayana Institute

On December 15, 1973, Lama Yeshe established the IMI, an organization for the monks and nuns of the Foundation for the Preservation of the Mahayana Tradition (FPMT).
His words from that day have been included in the book Advice for Monks and Nuns.
This year, the IMI will commemorate the occasion with a live teaching by Khen Rinpoche Geshe Thubten Chonyi from Kopan.
This will be convenient for those in Australia, Asia, and Europe.
Later in the day, Nick Ribush, who was present at the founding of the IMI, will give a teaching.
This will be during the day for North Americans and in the evening for Europeans and Asians.
