Visiting Professorship in Buddhist studies funded by the Mee Toh Foundation in Singapore
The National University of Singapore’s (NUS) Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences (FASS) has created a new visiting professorship in Buddhist studies, funded by the Mee Toh Foundation, to promote interdisciplinary research in the area.
The Mee Toh Foundation has provided funding to establish a Visiting Professorship, which will contribute to the advancement of Buddhist studies and instruction.
The Mee Toh Foundation Visiting Professorship in Buddhist Studies will be established with the help of the gift, providing FASS with new insights into Buddhism’s history, philosophy, art, and literature.
The professorship will be managed by the Department of Philosophy at FASS for a period of five years from 2024 and will be awarded to a renowned scholar in the field each year.
They will teach undergraduate courses, conduct research, and give talks on Buddhist studies.
