About Khenpo Yeshi

Khenpo Yeshi attained a B.A. in Religious Studies from UC Berkeley in 2012, followed by an M.A. in South and Southeast Asian Studies from the same institution in 2017. Currently, he is pursuing his doctoral degree. His academic focus centers on Tibetan Buddhism, particularly the early development of the Dzogchen Heart Essence tradition, which is considered the pinnacle of the Pith Instruction Teaching of Dzogchen. His research interests encompass various aspects of this contemplative system, including its perspectives on view, path, conduct, and fruition. Additionally, he explores broader themes concerning Dzogchen's interactions with other traditions within Tibet and beyond.
