About Taranatha

Tāranātha (1575–1634) was a Lama of the Jonang school of Tibetan Buddhism. He took birth in Drong, Tibet, on the birthday of Guru Padmasambhava. He is considered to be none other than Manjushri and was proclaimed a tenth-level bodhisattva. He is widely considered its most remarkable scholar and exponent.
