About Prajña

Prajñā is a term in Buddhism that is commonly translated as "wisdom," "intelligence," or "understanding." It refers to the comprehension of the true essence of phenomena as described in Buddhist teachings. In the practice of Buddhist meditation, it involves recognizing the three fundamental characteristics of all things: impermanence, dissatisfaction or suffering, and non-self. In Mahāyāna Buddhism, it is also associated with understanding emptiness. Prajñā forms a crucial part of the Threefold Training in Buddhism, and it is considered one of the ten pāramīs in Theravāda Buddhism and one of the six Mahāyāna pāramitās.
