Beyond Time: The Legacy of Buddha’s Bone Relics in Singapore
The Singapore Tibetan Buddhist Centre recently hosted a special event to commemorate the life and legacy of Shakyamuni Buddha, featuring an exhibition of the precious Kapilavastu relics of Buddha.
The Rise of Asia Museum in Singapore held a five-day event entitled “Beyond Time: The Legacy of Buddha’s Bone Relics” from 24–29 November, which attracted nearly 9,000 visitors.
The sacred relics, which are usually not allowed to be moved outside their country, were on display for all to see.
The TBC, founded in 2006 with the guidance of His Holiness the Dalai Lama, is a non-profit organization dedicated to spreading the teachings of Buddhadharma, preserving Tibetan culture, and fostering unity among all Buddhist traditions.
Under the tutelage of resident teacher Geshe Lobsang Yonten, the center regularly offers Dharma classes.
