Institut Vajra Yogini Has Completed 108 Nyung Na Retreats

(IVY) in France has organized its twelfth set of 108 Nyung Na retreats from November 2022 to June 2023. This event is part of ’s Vast Vision for the organization, which seeks to support those who make a strong commitment to complete 1,000 Nyung Na retreats. IVY has been hosting these retreats annually to help achieve this goal.

For the past decade, Zopa has been providing food and lodging to those who take part in the 108 Nyung Na retreats. We are delighted to keep support in accordance with Rinpoche’s wishes, and in 2023, US$11,522 was allocated to the retreats.

The Nyung Na retreat is a two-day intensive practice that involves taking the 24-hour precepts each day, along with full fasting and silence every alternate day. It consists of three sessions of approximately three hours each day, comprising , prostrations, and chanting of .

Lama Zopa Rinpoche has highly commended Nyung Na retreat as an exceptional way to alter the , which is a potent and experiential practice that can be done by anyone with reverence and trust in the practice.
