Lhabab Duchen celebration at Lawudo Gompa in Nepal

A remarkable day of celebratory events took place at Lawudo , , and we are delighted to provide details of these festivities.

At dawn, a large group of , nuns, and the three main of the valley—Thame , Charok , and Kyarok Lama—along with locals and foreign guests gathered at the main gompa (with many lay people outside).

They were there to welcome a 15-inch gold containing a most precious tooth relic from Lama Zopa Rinpoche’s holy , which was brought in a procession from the mountain cave. Ven. led the relic, escorted by the three lamas and playing gyaling.

It was an incredibly auspicious event that the relic of Rinpoche arrived on .

Ven. Roger, Sangay (Rinpoche’s brother), and (Rinpoche’s sister) each presented a physical, verbal, and mental to the relic of Rinpoche.
