About Attachments

In Dharma, attachments are emotional clingings to people, objects, or ideas that lead to suffering and hinder spiritual growth. They arise from ignorance and desire, causing a cycle of craving and dissatisfaction. Attachment distorts perception, making us believe that impermanent and external entities can bring lasting happiness. Overcoming attachment involves cultivating detachment, mindfulness, and understanding the nature of impermanence, leading to inner peace and liberation from the cycle of birth, death, and rebirth (samsara).
