In Hinduism, Green Tara is known as Shyamatara. She is a form of Shakti, the tantric manifestations of the goddess.
In Tibetan Green Tara is known as Sgrol-ljang. She is considered by some to be the original Tara and is the female consort of Amoghasiddhi, one of the “self-born” buddhas.
