You can take control of your body and mind by consciously regulating your steps and breaths. Otherwise, you risk being overwhelmed by the tumult of everyday life.
When we use mindful breathing and movement to bring our attention back to our physical selves, we gain a sense of control.
We walk because we choose to, not because we are being forced. We talk because we choose to, not because we feel compelled.
In philosophy people ponder the concept of free will.
In Buddhism, it is believed that cultivating mindfulness leads to a greater sense of autonomy and freedom.
As one’s mindfulness and concentration become stronger, they will be able to experience more and more freedom.
