Nirvana is the earliest and most common term used to describe the goal of the Buddhist path. The literal meaning is “blowing out” or “quenching.” It is the ultimate spiritual goal in Buddhism and marks the soteriological release from rebirths in samsara.
These three are entrances to Nirvana, or ‘doors to liberation’… Essentially this means that each of these would lead to Nirvana. Though inactivity leads to Nirvana, Bodhisattvas use wisdom and action to teach enlightenment to living beings. So the actions of an enlightened being are like this; — for one they do not do any harm.
