INEB to Host Three-Day Chaplaincy Workshop for Buddhist Caregivers
The International Network of Engaged Buddhists (INEB) is organizing a seminar in Thailand from September 29th to October 1st, focusing on the concepts and practices of chaplaincy for Buddhist caregivers.
The IBPC and the Japan Network of Engaged Buddhists (JNEB) are collaborating to host a three-day event at INEB’s Wongansit Ashram near Bangkok.
Jonathan Watts, coordinator of the Japan Network of Engaged Buddhists, recently announced that a three-day workshop will be held to teach the fundamentals of Buddhist chaplaincy.
During the workshop, participants (both ordained and lay) will learn essential skills and practices to help those in today’s society who are dealing with depression, mental health issues, suicidal thoughts, and other forms of suffering caused by study and work stress, gender and sexual identity, family trauma, social violence, and accidents.
The workshop will be led by a team from the International Buddhist Psychotherapy and Chaplaincy Working Group, who have extensive experience in teaching and training Buddhist chaplains.
