Thangka Collection of Shechen Monastery Nepal
Shechen Monastery is one of mainmonastery of the Nyingma tradition of Tibetan Buddhism. It was originally located in Kham, Tibet, but was destroyed in the late 1950s during the Cultural Revolution and was rebuilt in Nepal in 1985.
In the 1980s, Dilgo Khyentse Rinpoche transplanted the rich tradition of the original Shechen Monastery to a new home near the great Stupa of Bodhnath in Kathmandu, Nepal.
Shechen is dedicated to the growth and fulfillment of the vision and projects of the Dilgo Khyentse Rinpoche in the Tibetan Buddhist religious and cultural activity.

Heruka is presented in wrathful appearance embracing his consort. Heruka is green in color with 3 faces and 6 hands. The two main hands are folded in front holding a wheel and vase. The remaining right hands hold a vajra and a stick with a flayed human skin. The left hold a bell and lasso. The blue two armed consort holds a conch shell and a banner.

Mahamaya Thangka
This Mahamaya Thangka is a collection from Shechen Monastery in Nepal. The origin of this thangka is Tibet between 1800 – 1899.
Mahamaya is from Karma (Kagyu) and Buddhist Lineage. Mahamaya has blue with four faces, blue, yellow, red, green. The first two hands hold a skullcup and katvanga staff while embracing the consort. The lower two [hands] hold an arrow and bow. Standing with the left leg drawn up in a half posture dancing manner.
Mahamaya is wearing a human skin upper garment. The consort, Buddha Dakini, is red, the same [in appearance], embracing, with a crown of dry skulls, head necklace, and five mudras.

White Tara is from Buddhist Lineage. She is peaceful in appearance. She is radiant like a stainless crystal jewel, shining with rays of light. She has one face, two hands, and having three eyes with the conduct of having sixteen years of age.
Her right hand is in the mudra of supreme generosity, and the left holds with the thumb and forefinger the stem of a white Utpala to the heart with the petals blossoming at the ear. Representing the buddhas of the three times the single stem is divided into three, in the middle is a blossoming flower, the right in fruition, the left in the form of a bud; adorned with various jewel ornaments. She is having various silk upper garments and a lower garment of red silk.
She is seated with the legs in vajra posture. The palms of the hands and feet each have an eye – the seven eyes of pristine awareness.
